Field Visit 1: Implementing interactive innovation in precision agricultural engineering education – Experimental farm of SZE University
Introducing how to create/implement an innovative Precision Agricultural engineering course. Besides knowing the latest digital solutions we are building together a professional network community to put these innovative smart technologies into real practice.
During the training, we connect the AKIS players to facilitate and ensure the knowledge exchange and we create a space for a co-creation.
During the field trip, the innovative educational tools, like interactive soil profile, soil sensors and drones will be shown on the study farm of the university.

Field Visit 2: Digitalization in seed business – LAJTAMAG: Everything that is seed
Throughout its 30-year history, the company has always placed great importance on providing innovative solutions for their partners. They are helping the farming community to get direct information about innovation, and build trust among different stakeholders. They keep pace with the digitalisation of agriculture through continuous IT development and seek to transfer knowledge to the farming community. The field trip will give participants an insight into the communication and knowledge transfer strategy of this customer-focused company and will provide practical examples of best practices in innovation transfer.
About Lajtamag Ltd:
LAJTAMAG., the three -generation family-owned hungarian seed company was founded in 1991 and the number of empoyees exceeded one hundred in 2016.
The company started seed processing in 1996, and also had laboratory for plant breeding. In 2006, grain cleaner and warehouse capacity was significantly increased and a new, high-performance grain-dryer was also introduced, while machinery system for seed purification was also improved by gravity table, spiral seed cleaner and – in the last stage of the investment – a high performance (3-8 tons /hour) photoelectric sorting system. In addition to the agricultural production, cultivation and seed production, Lajtamag has significant results on the field of R+D too.

Field Visit 3: Transfer of innovation – AGRO PROFI – Best practices in Hungarian Agricultural Advisory Services
In this tour, complex advisory service centre will be introduced. The company’s mission is to spread sustainable thinking through the provision of farmer-specific services, to effectively disseminate innovations and to strengthen the flow of information between different AKIS actors.
Interactive presentations and workshops will provide for participants with the opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about the methods used to provide advisory and knowledge transfer in Hungary. The programme will end with the introduction of local producers and tasting of local food products.
